Coalition
Brian Eager
Tenor
Retired now after many years of appliance repair work for Sears Corporation and others. Brian, like the other members of Coalition, is a 31 year member of the Summit City Chorus in Fort Wayne. He also spent 20 years singing with “Those Guys” barbershop quartet and with several Gospel groups. He and his wife, Barb live just south of Harlan, Indiana
Dan Johnson
Lead
Dan retired in 2014 after 40 years in finance and fund raising with Lutheran Schools (Concordia High School and Concordia Seminary Fort Wayne) and other Lutheran agencies. His nine competition quartets have won three district senior championships and sung at five international senior contests. He is a 43 year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, having sung in a number of choruses. He and his wife Barb live north of New Haven, Indiana
Jeff Albert (aka Bert)
Bass
Jeff is still working, serving as CEO for SOLV Holdings, an engineering contractor and engineered products holding company. His musical credits include six years as a past director with the Summit City Chorus in Fort Wayne –with them earning a District chorus championship and multiple trophies at the Buckeye Invitational. He is a veteran of six competition quartets, singing three different vocal parts, Tenor, Baritone and Bass (We hope he gets it right soon!) He was a medalist in the Indiana-Kentucky district with the “Summit Club” – a foursome with a 16-year run. Jeff has been a member of the Summit City Chorus for 42 years. He and his wife Sue live in Huntertown, Indiana.
Jeff Goshorn (aka Ernie)
Baritone
Jeff is newly retired after a career as a quality engineer working with E&B Paving. His primary focus was testing asphalt projects on the highways and byways of northern Indiana. Dan and Jeff have been singing together in quartets for many years and they now share two district senior championships. Jeff is a 27 year member of the Summit City Chorus. Jeff and Diann live in Ossian, In.
These four guys have 140 years of combined quartet singing experience.
But it is still that opportunity to connect with their audience that keeps them engaged and makes the quartet special! Maybe you and your group will be next?
Summit City Chorus
Our guys are all long time members of the local Summit City Chorus. We have served in the capacity of director, assistant director, chapter president, show chairman, section leaders, you get the idea...
Coalition often performs as a part of the chorus and will step out and do our thing as well.
